Sales Representative 
 
Job type: Permanent
Salary: Basic + uncapped commission structure OTE £25K
Location: Carlisle, Cumbria
Hours: Monday – Friday + Saturday mornings on rotation basis
 
NXT have an amazing job opportunity for a Sales representative to join a well-established business in Carlisle. The right candidate must be driven, self-motivated and a big people person.
 
If you have experience in agricultural machinery, engineering parts, heavy good vehicles, plant machinery or health & safety equipment, this could be an ideal job for you! However, if you feel like your experienced in selling and business relations and willing to learn about the about a new industry, we would love to hear from you too! 
 
Duties will include:
 

• Identifying new business opportunities through market research
• Introducing yourself to new businesses, identifying their needs and establishing a relationship 
• Arranging meetings with businesses and setting up accounts for them
• Compiling quotes for customers from enquiries and ensuring all enquires are followed up
• Developing and maintaining relationships with existing account holders
• Contacting customers to make them aware of new promotions and deals that may be relevant to them
• Ensuring repeat orders are monitored to maximise the service and sales opportunity
• Maximising the value of the order by ensuring probing questions are asked
• Ensuring all administration is completed in real time and customer records are maintained

 
Skills & Experience:
 

• Previous experience in a role working with parts, components and mechanical equipment is highly desirable – It may not have been in a sales role, you could have worked in a hands-on capacity but you would like to be customer facing now
• A friendly and engaging personality
• Sales process experience is desirable although training will be given
• Ambitious and money driven
• Good basic IT skills – Training on the systems will be provided
