We are currently seeking and experienced Accountant to join an expanding multi franchise main Dealer Group.
Reporting to the Financial Director, you will provide a professional and high quality accounting service accounts teams across 4 locations, representing 7 franchise partners and be responsible for the timely production of monthly Management Accounts and all manufacturer Composite submissions.
This role requires a strong contribution to the effective operation and development of the dealerships by providing advice and information on all financial related matters whilst acting as a point of liaison between the Dealership Management teams and the Directors.
Key responsibilities
  • Supporting dealership management teams
  • Ensuring all aspects of the dealer management system are fully up to date and comply with group accounting standards
  • Undertake analytical review on divisional accounts, highlighting any anomalies
  • Assist the Financial Director with the year-end consolidation and reporting process
  • Preparation of annual budgets and dealership weekly forecasts
  • Prepare/collate information in respect of legal reporting requirements
  • Maintain the accounts for Pension Scheme
  • Liaison with third parties including the coordination of external auditors
  • Systems Development
  • Handling insurance renewals and claims for Group
  • Adhoc projects and support to the Finance Director as the business requires
CIMA Accounting qualification or equivalent accounting experience is preferable for this role. Previous motor trade experience, ideally multi-site using Pinnacle by Pinewood or a Kerridge based DMS, is also desirable but not essential.
