We are delighted to be recruiting for a leading company based in Carlisle.

Hours: 37.5/Week
Salary: £17,500 - £19,500 Experience dependent

Working as part of a team, you will be responsible for ensuring the credit control department operates efficiently and within company policies.
 
The ideal candidate will have experience working within credit control, ability to work on your own initiative, be an excellent communicator and able to explain financial matters.

Main duties and responsibilities include
  • Manage and maintain ledger accounts, identify overdue accounts and take any necessary action
  • Identify and highlight any potential risks to the Credit Control Manager
  • Pass any queries to the customer services department for resolution.
  • Setting up repayment plans and work with outside collection agencies
  • Ensure the sales ledger is kept clean at all times
  • Credit checking sales orders prior to dispatch
  • Sanction credit limits using external credit ratings
  • Bank reconciliation
  • Setting up repayment plans and working with outside collection agencies
  • Prepare monthly risk report for review by the Credit Control Manager
  • Assist with internal and external audits
  • Assist in the implementation of future changes to current process
  • Develop and maintain good working relationships with colleagues, visitors, customers and managers.
