We are current recruiting a Trainee Workshop Engineer to work on behalf of Security Business in the Penrith area. 
           
Purpose of the Job
The primary purpose of this position is to organise and perform logistical support for the Operations division. In particular receiving and storing materials delivered to workshop, preparing and testing components for shipment in accordance with project specifications. Maintain workshop in an orderly manner.
 
The role includes the opportunity to learn about IT/ IP based security products, pre builds and installation.

This role is for someone enthusiastic with a keen interest in computer products; an individual who is at the commencement of their career with a strong desire to develop their knowledge toward a technical qualification and career advancement to engineer status.
 
Primary Tasks
  • Preparing equipment for shipment
  • Prebuild of components
  • Testing and labelling of components
  • Receiving goods and processing materials through an inventory system
  • Taking deliveries and ensuring stock is stored in correct locations.
  • Ensure system holds correct locations for stockroom items.
  • Arranging collections with couriers
  • Ensure deliveries have been received by site
  • Keeping stock room in order
Secondary Tasks
  • Assisting with stock takes.

  • Computer skills - MS Office.
